I want to be a local Internet Business Mentor – What Now?
You may already have experience in eBay or the Internet and are simply looking for a way to put the entire package together to make or change a career. You’re tired of the get rich quick Internet Schemes and Affiliate dreams and you are looking for something which can satisfy your desire to have an Internet based business without going broke. (A similar desire of 99% of your clients)
Please understand that this is not a job offer. – Internet Business Mentors are independent people and never see themselves as workers. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity, what you do with this opportunity is up to you. But please understand that this is not a franchise or a business on auto-pilot. If you get involved because you truly want to help other business owners and entrepreneurs with Internet Marketing, eBay Solutions and Web Design guidance & advise and your intention is to stick with the program – long term – to build a business… for which you will have no competition – you are in the right place.
Please remember – we will only allow one Internet Business Mentor per area. (Some larger metro markets will have multiple areas). You will not be given a protected territory but we will also only establish mentors in limited geographical areas. If you want to be the first, and possibly the only Internet Business Mentor in your area, you should apply right away. Once an area is occupied by a Mentor that area can only accept a new Mentor member if the previous Mentor was removed for non-performance issues.
The following is a list of the requirements for acceptance as an Internet Business Mentor – Some requirements are flexible, others are not, try not to guess which are which.
- Submit an application - Standard information provided for any business opportunity. Detail your past Internet sales experience, Direct Sales experience, eBay experience etc. Please also include your present business name, business location, previous businesses and time in your community. Any local groups or organizations will also be great information. (Contact us for a faxed or email copy)
- Establish your business entity - Or supply us with information concerning your current business entity, name and description. If you plan on establishing a new entity for this program, we can wait for your new name and corporate or LLC paperwork for 30 days post acceptance. All documentation must be provided showing your legal description and independent status as a local business person or entity.
- Set up your Accounts – We will help you set up the various accounts with iBusinessLogic, AuctionLogic and DesignLogic. They will require further information from you to establish your demonstration eBay store and About me page design.
- Receive Training – Arrange a Training seminar or teleseminar to learn how to offer your services and products to business clients.
- Start a Website or Blog – Your new Internet Business Mentor business will require a web address. eBay sellers may use their eBay about me page initially but we recommend a full website or an advanced blog design. We can help you select which is better for your business but if you are to succeed in showing other the advantages of Internet Marketing and Web 2.0 we feel having these types of sites set up under your business name is essential. One feature we include in your IBM membership is a free WordPress blog set up on Internet-Business-Mentor.com
- Launch – Use PR Web – Standard Press releases, your own local contacts in the Rotary and Chamber to launch your business and announce yourself to the world. You want to be known as the person to call – so be friendly and be professional.
- Join – Local business forums & networking groups both live and online. Use online forums to post answers to questions about Internet commerce in your area. Build incoming links to your website or blog.
- Set Up – Products and services in your DesignLogic eBay storefront. Sell your services, digital products, and DesignLogic eBay stores designs on eBay itself. Promoting this way will lend credibility to your local clients who view your eBay store and see that your selling these products worldwide. Write your own e-book and post it on your eBay store. Become more of an expert with our help. You will be amazed at how quickly word will spread about your status as an Internet Business Mentor and Expert.
